DRIVING PICKUPS & OVERLOADING in Thailand
Thailand is reknown for heavy high loads on pickups but be careful as foreigners are always checked by Police roadchecks etc as are most others. Important to note you must display a red flag or material on the back of your load like below and the load must have a full cover over it and tie downs are also checked. The worst stops are at express lane inspections.
The above load is not legal but most with high loads are acceptable
Now you see the red material at the back.All loads must be covered.
Although the load is covered the sette is not covered so is illegal and no red flag displayed on the back.
Keep to the left lanes and do not pass traffic is there are road checks ahead. Do not even change lanes. For all motorcycles rtransported make sure you have tabian reg book copies and passport of the owner if a foreigner.
